I'd like to invite you and your family to be my guest at my May 11 concert (your energy permitting ) at the Danish Center. It's called "Songs for the River" and will be a collaboration between my dear pianist-genius friend, Steven Hobert, and me. You can just show up at the last minute..... There will be so many river vibes there that evening! Blessings on your travels....

As I look at your turkeys I am reminded of my need for color. It looks like there is no life in the dull colors. But it is hidden underground. Life is beyond our understanding. Michael, just as spring's slow and ever-faithful presence makes itself visible, so also may your hope be renewed in this next chapter. Bless you!

Hi dear, I hope the river picks up where the chemo falls short. Lucky you have it so close to you. Good luck with this round. Love from Israel.

As you describe this next round of treatment I imagine the chemo pill as a small craft on the mighty river being drawn forward on its current. The water is life and love giving.

I googled turkeys too: "Similar to the Jellyfish, the turkey spirit animal is a symbol of abundance. It is an encouragement to celebrate your resources that nourish your physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. ... The turkey symbolism brings the message of unlocking the richness of your life so that you can appreciate everything."
Looking at Betsy's note, it seems there is agreement from different sources as to the blessings of turkeys, of strong, flowing water, of silence, of retreat-to-then-advance.
Blessings.

Hi Michael. I have turkeys that visit our home almost every week. I looked up the symbolism of all those turkeys visiting you and this is what I learned.

"When the turkey visits us it is a sign that we must be mindful of the blessings bestowed upon us each day. Further, it is a message to express our strength and brilliance – it’s time to show our own." I hear you showing your strength and sharing your brilliance in all your words here on Caring Bridge. Sending on going courage and strength as you receive the sacrament of chemo.
Blessings,
Betsy
