So many hard choices for the heart and the head. Your discernment process is inclusive and thorough. Thanks for sharing the difficulties and trusting in the field of love as companion to the medical and spiritual resources. Life is complex and I so value the way you carry presence to body, soul and spirit, Michael. May Love always be the strongest force in your be-ing. You and your family are in my heartfelt prayers with much love and blessings upon each day.

Michael, continuing with expanding the field of love, a song that always fills my heart is Love Song by Elton John. I'll keep growing my heart to send more love your way.

The words I have to say
May well be simple but they're true
Until you give your love
There's nothing more that we can do

Love is the opening door
Love is what we came here for
No one could offer you more
Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen

You say it's very hard
To leave behind the life we knew
But there's no other way
And now it's really up to you

Love is the key we must turn
Truth is the flame we must burn
Freedom the lesson we must learn
Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen

Love is the opening door
Love is what we came here for
No one could offer you more
Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen

Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen
Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen
Do you know what I mean

I came across an idea recently in my own reading that I’ve adapted for you and your exquisite way of talking about your journey: Love is the fire you must enter into for transformation. Even in those moments of uncertainty, I believe you know exactly what the center is.

I am holding you in my thoughts and heart as you start this next phase. I am in awe of your strength and ability to focus on what is most important to you. It is so terribly hard to have those appointments where you receive news that must be acted on and be asked to make a quick decision in the middle of pain and shock. We also found that the provider was in a different frame of mind than the patient and this was difficult to navigate. Once again, I admire you for writing a letter to him because if patients don't give feedback, then there is no hope for change. Yet, it is hard to give feedback when you're in treatment for a deadly disease. Also, I imagine there was some healing in writing that letter. Knowing what I do of you, I assume it was respectful and heartfelt. All my very best wishes to you and your family, Michael.
