So sorry I needed to miss the story event on Saturday. I’ve heard it was wonderful. So glad you were able to be there continuing your work.

Still cycling in for treatment. Michael, you are my kind of guy.

Your post touches on some issues I am chewing on in a book called Everyday Survival by Laurence Gonzales.

May each of us, as we choose, continue to dissolve into the moment.

Michael,
I know that many of us reading this post feel you carry a gift, which you are sharing with us.
In this particular post I have found a gift-example I can point to.
You wrote:
" ...I had to hold all the work I was doing lightly, knowing there was a good chance that I wouldn’t be able to complete what I started. ...considering what I needed to say in my close relationships, in case I didn’t have much time to say it. There have been profound gifts in these times of dissolving and releasing. ... only pick back up what is full of life... Don’t we long for something to create the opportunity to say what needs to be said in our closest relationships?"

Your gift, as I would name it today, is to be able to grasp and express deep, essential, human truths that many of us recognize but do not articulate.

As for how today's example relates to me...
As you know, I am quite concerned with the necessity and inevitability of the self-destruction of Industrial Civilization, which has become a cancer in the ecosystem of Gaia.
Obviously this is a hard message to carry, and even harder to share in a way that others can accept.

How can I encourage my friends to let go of expecting the status quo to continue into the lives of our children?
What solace can I offer as I entice them to come out of the buildings of Industrial Assumptions before these structures come crashing down upon them?

Bringing your gifts into the meaning of my own life I can say:
It's not easy or pleasant...knowing there is a good chance we won’t be able to complete what we started. But there can be profound gifts in these times of dissolving and releasing. Come, let us question all our commitments, and only embrace what is full of life... Let us take the opportunity to say what is most important in our closest relationships.

I am grateful for the gift of seeing that you carry.
Glad you are doing the work of sharing it out with us,
Richard

I am having a good bit of trouble with surrender these days, Michael, and I am getting from your words some inspiration. Given how strong-willed my ego is, I think I will pray for some form of forced surrender. Holding you in love.

Thank you for sharing your deep-hearted thoughts. It is beautiful how all of creation speaks to you. You bless all of us with your words, 'In these dissolving times, I feel urgency to see and honor the ways I exist because of and through others. I see how I can’t live outside of relationship".

And I do believe that birds may well be from the angelic realm. Their bodies may be descended from dinosaurs, but their spirits speak of heaven. There is hope for us all.
