I met Michael through the Morse Code class he taught. I took it 3 times and enjoyed it each time. He also installed my filters on my new 480SAT radio from Kenwood.
I was just looking through my old QSL cards and came across some from way back when I was first starting and without knowing it ran into Michael at the Lockheed Employees Recreation Club Amateur Radio Club in Burbank along with one from Carl Welsh who was my theory teacher for my Novice and General license.
He was a young student then.
Michael told us about his days at the club and Queen Mary radio station while in class, so when I told him I went to those classes by Mr. Welsh he reminisced a bit before we started back to code.
I am so sorry to hear about him becoming a silent key. He was an inspiration to me to get back on the code. I am still working at it and at 77 my speed on code could use improvement, the kind that Michael was able to give us.
I hope that his wife and daughters will always have enjoyable memories in the future.
May the Lord bless you and take care of you forever.
May I ask what the requested attire will be? Some people prefer traditional, dark colors, others prefer no dark colors. I imagine you probably have a lot decisions so I don’t mean to add to it. ❤️
Doug and I will attend the livestream. Grateful to have that option. I am praying for you and the girls during this difficult time that you all find your way on this physical world without your beloved "physical" Mike. He is still with you all, in your hearts and I know you see him in the girls. Much love to you my friend.
