I went to high school with Mel. I had moved from Iowa to Texas and back over the years. When I returned to Keokuk she was one of the kindest souls I could have ever met. Both at school and at Hy-Vee (where we both worked). There isn’t one particular memory of her but more the overwhelming kindness that she exuded. She is someone that I will never forget.

Mary, I can not imagine your pain you feel on a daily basis. But i know those boys are lucky to have you and Vern in their lives . Hang in there.
