It’s amazing to see such beautiful faithfulness come out of something so tragic. You are an inspiration and an encouragement to me. May God bless, strengthen and continue to guide you through the road ahead.

I remember that day so well. It is the same day as my husband's birthday. Yesterday we were at church and also hosting special friends from Uganda for a ministry we serve, one that Melinda was a supporter of. Greg and family were in attendance too. Melinda was close on my heart as I marveled what the last year has seen.
She is so dearly loved and her spirit is such an inspiration to me. The theme my friend Richmond preached on was the light of Christ that is in all of us and how we are to bring that light into the darkness of the world. Melinda is a light that shines brightly, Christ is seen in her every circumstance. What a beautiful testimony to witness.

A prayer for Melinda, from our Lutheran Church Missouri Synod liturgy: Lord God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us, through Jesus Christ, or Lord. Amen.
