Momma loves and misses you so much. We did so many adventures together and I will treasure each and every one. You were always here for me, just a phone call away.

I worked at Camp Friendship with Mel, Snoddy, or whatever she was going by at the time. She was such a bright light in this world, and had such a passion and GIANT heart for caring for others. The world (and myself) will miss her dearly ❤️

I am so grateful to have gotten to know Mel. She was such a kind, considerate, caring, sweet, and hilarious co-worker. We could talk for hours during our shifts together about anything and everything. She was such an amazing cook and just such a great, silly, incredible, and goofy person. She always had me laughing when we were together. I’m so thankful to have had someone like her to understand and relate to. Prayers to all of her family, friends, co-workers, and clients during this incredibly difficult time. She will be greatly and deeply missed by so many. May she Rest In Peace, migraine free.

I'm so very saddened to hear of Mel's sudden passing. I had her as a student at UWS years ago. I've moved to the East Coast yet despite the distance and the years, I was able to see Mel again. She made a wonderful surprise visit to my Art Opening. So glad I saw her again! My condolences to all who loved her. She will be missed.

I am so sorry. Melanie befriended me when I moved to Mound in the middle of eighth grade - she didn’t have to, but she did, and she was so unabashedly kind. We drifted apart in later years, and I never got to tell her.
I want her family to know that so many of us from high school remember her as one of the sweetest, nicest, most thoughtful teenagers(!) we ever knew.

Oh my deepest sympathy to Mel’s family and all she met as they were her friends. I worked with Mel years ago at Camp Friendship and was always a light for many and had heart in all she did. May God bring you peace and comfort and the peace that passes all understanding.
Love,
