Journal entry by Kristi Stoddard

9 days post op.... Wow I can’t believe how fast time flies. Kendra has been doing pretty good overall but today could be a bit more challenging for her. Dr Reynolds uses what is called an On-Q to help with pain relief. It puts constant numbing medicine on each side of her ribs to help with the pain for these first few days. Well last night her second On-Q ball ran out of medicine so we removed the catheters from her. She feels so free to not have a ball to carry around but she is also hurting more now.   “Though I walk in the mist of trouble, You will revive me.... The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” Psalm 138:7-8. This was some of my reading this morning. The Lord is with us through this trouble, He will be with Kendra through each moment of recovery. He is concerned with what concerns her. He doesn’t say He will take it away but He will be with each of us through whatever the trial.
Prayer requests for today: that Kendra with be able to work through the new pains that she will be experiencing.
