Journal entry by Kayla McMahon —
When this journey started out I was told, “when you make it to a year you will be golden!” Well here we are... she is now over 13lbs and 26 inch long. This year has held 5 surgeries, 4 bouts of pneumonia, RSV, rhino virus, and more ER visits and hospital stays than I can count. We got rid of the colostomy bag and now have a GJ feeding tube which looks like a plug for a blow up chair, because she needs some more weight on her bones! Everyday we seem to find a new struggle or continue with a pervious one. We are currently in the hospital with pneumonia again as well has having issues with the feeding tube, heart rate, and stabilizing body temperature. If you have any energy felt to send up a few more prayers for this little one and her family we sure could use them... we are running on fumes! And just a shout out to everyone who has continued to help and pray, thank you! Your love is felt!
Maybe we will be golden when we hit two years?!?! 🤣
