Journal entry by susan mcmahan

As we begin this week of Thanksgiving I want to say we have so much to be thankful for. I am so very thankful to all of you that were able to attend Jim service and to help us honor him in a way that I think would have made him proud. We are also thankful that on Nov. 22 Nan received her early acceptance into the University of Georgia. Jim was dancing a jig with Jesus that day for sure. Today, I am thankful for the fact that we were able to rebuild Kepitaki ( our family home on Cape San Blas). It was hands down one of Jim’s favorite places on earth, and we are blessed to be able to come down here as a family to continue our tradition, to grieve together, and to begin to heal together by the grace of God. Find something to be thankful for everyday and do something everyday that will make someone else thankful.
Much love to you all!
