It sounds like you all had a good trip. I hope you continue to enjoy your summer. I think it is wonderful all the things you are doing to help find the cure. I did watch Julie's story and shared on my FB page. It struck me that so many of these children fighting cancer are really dying from all the damage their bodies go through. Wednesday an 11 year old passed. When she was younger she had a brain tumor. I think she relapsed in 2016 and her parents found out May 30th that she had AML. She started treatment and her kidneys gave out. I'm heartbroken for another family. Sending love! Thanks for keeping us updated on your family!
Bonnie, you amaze me with your energy. You are such a positive force. Thank you for still including me on Maya's CaringBridge. Joe and I have donated to St Jude for many years. Our last donation was in memory of Maya and her Grandpa Bob. Unfortunately, I now share in some of your pain because my daughter, Margaret, was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 38. This is very scary for us since we lost my mom to colon cancer at age 54. Please know that we will continue to donate to St Jude. I sometimes hear and read about new cancer treatments that are biologic rather than chemical. This gives me much hope. I have also read about vaccines for some cancers. Praise God!
