Journal entry by Laura Newman

Dear friends,

Our dear Max passed away late Monday night, ending his long battle with cancer. He was able to spend his final days at home, surrounded by family, friends, snuggles, and so much love. Tarrell took on the enormous task of managing home hospice care, tending to Max at all hours of the day and night - managing his pain, providing him with the most tender care and dedication, and helping to prepare him for the journey ahead. Before his body was taken away to be cremated, Max was dressed in his 333fab bike kit. Tarrell said it felt so right for him to leave like that - leaving his battered body behind, and ready to ride the skies with angel wings.

Max has so many friends in California, Washington, and New England, and Tarrell has been thinking a lot about how to honor him. Plans will be shared for celebrations of his life as they come together. In the meantime, Tarrell is asking everyone to get outside, get on their bikes, and ride in memory of Max.
