Maura’s Story

Site created on October 14, 2019

On September 25, 2019, Maura left work with abdominal pain and was originally diagnosed with a ruptured appendix after being admitted to Howard County General. Just days before embarking on what was to be her 30th wedding anniversary cruise, we found out that what would have been a routine procedure would no longer be helpful. During the rest of her stay at Howard County General she was given multiple CTs and was ultimately diagnosed with Stage IV appendix cancer. Please share anything you wish to with her here. We will update this page regularly to keep everyone informed.
