You mentioned football in your note; I was thinking about Matt Saturday, even though I do not know your family. In Matt's remembrance, you wrote how he loved football and his football friends. During a few days of long driving across Ohio and Pennsylvania, I saw so many fields-full of boys practicing football. It reminded me what you wrote about Matt. I will probably always think of Matt whenever I see teams practicing. Take care of each other (you may have to take turns doing that sometimes).

We think about Matt & all of you every day. I still can’t believe he is gone & all of you are trying to get through each day without him now, it breaks my heart. The boys are still wearing their bracelets. I know they miss him. Sometimes when I’m praying I watch his tribute video again & listen to the song, the words say it all, he will not be forgotten. Your entire family have been in my thoughts every day. It has been nice to see Eva at band camp. We send you love and comfort. We don’t forget.

I too am a bereaved mother having lost my child for a totally different reason. You first count the days then months and finally years. I am so sorry for the loss, the pain the fog. Life is different, it is a new normal, one that you don’t want or ever thought you would be a part of, thinking of you and your family. Continued prayers.
