Journal entry by Jordan Schmidt —
He just keeps moving forward!! Matt's bone marrow biopsy results came in this week announcing that things are looking great: no signs of any leukemia cells in his body! WHOOOT! Cheers to that!!!!!!!!
In addition, he has just reached "Day 100" post transplant, which is a crucial milestone in determining how things are going for how his body is taking in his new immune system. At this point, the stage of acute Graft vs Host disease is over, meaning the worst of his side effects should be over. He is truly getting "back into the swing of things" with enjoying the summer in Lincoln Park, officially taking public transportation to and fro work, and keeping up with his full eight-hour work days.
He will be back in Milwaukee this weekend to enjoy one of his favorite times of the year: SUMMERFEST!
Keep it up, Matty... you're doing DAMN good!
