Journal entry by Heather Mattison —
Hi everyone,
Sorry it has been a while since the last update, life is a bit busy!
Anyway, Keith is doing well. His kidney numbers are looking good, and if they stay this way, he may be able to reduce his treatments. He is still very tired every day, but has started being able to walk short distances such as to the barn.
He does spend a lot of time with physical therapy and other treatments, so he isn't able answer calls or texts. He needs to be very cautious of infections as his immune system is very low, so visitors are still not something he can have. We hope the virus will go away soon!
Finally, please take this virus seriously. We learned that most of the people that were as sick as Keith did not get as lucky as he did. Please wear a mask when you are out in public! And stay home if you are sick - any sickness! You may not be seriously ill, but you could make someone else ill! Be smart, stay home.
