Matthew’s Story

Site created on October 22, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Matthew was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma last week. He will begin chemotherapy this week and we'd like to support his family by creating a meal train. There are no dietary restrictions but I'm sure comfort food would be appreciated!

Journal entry by Jewlz Fahn

Yesterday, Matt did pretty well with the chemo.  He has a little nausea here and there, but the anti-nausea meds helped.  He had an appetite and was able to eat.  The best part of the day was when his football buddies, Jack and Johnny, and friend Ben came to visit.  His eyes lit up when they walked in the room.  They laughed, goofed around, and made him forget what was going on in his life at the moment.  These boys made his day.  They even stayed while he got his next round of chemo.  Such special boys, it warmed my heart.

Matt is doing ok today.  He feels kind of like he just ate a very big meal.

Just got the good news we go home tonight after chemo! Woohoo!
