Hello to all who have been involved in posting messages to Matt from the day this tragic accident happened. I would like to take this opportunity to say a GINORMOUS THANK YOU to Jill Garcia. I have had the joy and tremendous pleasure to know Jill for well over 35 years. No one has a bigger heart then Jill. Her desire to ALWAYS help those she knows and loves is infinite. I speak from personal experience as many of us do about how Jill, without hesitation jumps into action to help without being asked. Nothing is too much for her because all she wants to do is whatever is needed to help in times of a crises or a stressful situation. She is one of the kindest, most compassionate, and caring friends I have ever had. Jill has put an immense amount of time into making sure that we were all informed daily about the journey Matt has been on. Her daily updates are the only reason that all of us were able to lend support to Matt and his family. Think of the stress she was able to relieve Matt’s family from having to endure during such a devastating time. For those who may not know, that’s just Jill being Jill with her typical heart of gold. Thank you Jill for your countless hours of work that went into your daily communication with all of us. You’re a trooper and Godsend of a friend to countless lucky people like me.

To say that you defied the odds is an understatement to say the least. You are the light in a dark room, your smile is a rainbow full of so many beautiful colors and your endurance and perseverance through your recovery have had no limits. We are beyond happy for you that you’re finally where you belong…HOME!!! You fought daily like a warrior and triumphed every step of the way. Enjoy being home with Benni and all your friends. You are loved by so many people. Keep fighting to get where YOU want to be. Remember to never be ashamed of your scars. They simply mean that you are stronger than the fire that tried to hurt you. Everyone has scars whether you can see them or not. Wears your with PRIDE!!!!! You earned it!!!
