Thank you for sharing that uplifting story of Matt! Please banish the thought of Matt’s chapter being “finished “ after the service. Forever more, people will share things about Matt - major impacts and funny little memories - all weaving together the beautiful, enduring tapestry of Matt’s life and legacy. There is a belief that people die twice - once at actual death and again when the person’s name is no longer spoken aloud. So, say Matt’s name aloud, everyone, and keep his spirit alive. Lifting your family up in prayer as the community honors Matt tomorrow.

Jill, you continue to be in my prayers and on my mind constantly. I wish I could attend Matt’s celebration tomorrow, but it just happens to be the day that they scheduled my husband’s first chemo treatment. So I will be with you in prayer. Matt’s legacy has a powerful message of faith. So this chapter will not close. I’m sure God will use Matt’s legacy for a long time to come. Love and prayers to you and your children.
