Music helps me through difficult times so this song is Broken Hallelujah by The Afters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo3DudOzV4k ; This song is While I Wait by Lincoln Brewster https://youtu.be/NswPPVgMaPE are two of my go to songs. With this devastating test result, you all will go through many different emotions and questions so I would take some quiet family time (no time limit) to go through all of these things before venturing out into life and routines. Those will always be there waiting and in the grand scheme of life are really not that important. As Christians we look at our trials and suffering differently than the world does. We go through difficult times with hope that beyond this earthly life we have eternity with Christ and our Christian loved ones. All kinds of advice and questioning about God will come up but Christians need to remember who God is and who we are. Isaiah 40. Always remember God's promises and His Character, He is always trustworthy, faithful. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. You can approach the throne of grace with confidence because God knows exactly what you are going through. God the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ, down to us to save us and Jesus went through all the human stuff, emotions, hunger, tiredness, difficulties like we do. God knows what its like to lose a loved one to death as He watched His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, be crucified for no wrong on His part but because John 3:16-17, "God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, so everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send Jesus to judge the world but to save the world. " The Psalms is a get place to get comfort. I will stop here but feel free to reach out to me if you wish. I am Coach Lukie's mom and he can give you my cell #. We have gone through a lot as a family with Jim's Crohn's Disease. Grace and Peace to Matt, you, and your kids from our Lord Jesus Christ. Hugs!

I'm so sorry for this blow. I can't pretend to know why things happen the way they do, but you are not abandoned or left to your own devices. God is there with you, in the bad news, in the good news. I pray your family will feel His strength as you feel weak, His direction as you feel lost, His unending love for you as He takes you on journeys you would never have chosen, but which yield incredible fruit in us as the humans God intended us to be. Thank you for taking us with you on that journey.

Thank you for keeping us updated with the news. Will continue to pray for Matt's healing and for strength for you and for the kids each day. Thank you for telling me what I can pray specifically for. On it!

We will wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name. (Ps. 33:20-21)
