Thank you for sharing your testimony. It is funny that when we are out of options, we get down to bedrock. All the other distractions and small things fade and we are left, not with our last resort, but our absolute best resort, that we didn't see in the first place. God has not changed. He has always been there, even when we didn't have time to listen. God will take you through this, and will not drop you, and we are privileged to pray with you.
Jill, Matt and family,
So blessed by your testimony Jill and so happy that you feel God’s presence in tangible ways! No one or thing comforts like He does; no words bring the hope like those in His inspired word. When we went through our daughter’s cancer Phil 4:6-7 were the verses that brought hope and then when Tom was diagnosed James 1:2-4 reminded me that trials draw us closer to God. We will continue to pray for all of you and thank God for what He has done for you in providing His peace in the midst of this journey.
Beautiful testimony of how God has been working in you and Matt's life. May your family continue to feel God's presence each day and share with others what He is doing. A favorite verse of mine is Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! May God continue to bless your family.
Tears in my eyes as I read this at work - tears for you all but also because your testimony really moved me! What a full weekend you had!!!!
Continued love and prayers,
Shannon Rapp
It was cool to read about baseball, Matt throwing out the first pitch, Jake catching, etc. It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was helping coach the Southern Juniors team that my son Lee and Jake played on (along with a bunch of other great kids). It was also great to read your testimony. About a week ago an old friend of mine from high school passed away from cancer. She had been diagnosed 26 years ago with Stage 4 colon cancer, and she not only fought it for 26 years, she persevered and thoroughly enjoyed life, not letting the cancer at all change her outlook, her perspective or her spirits, except in the best ways. So I hope that in your fight and your journey that you to may beat the odds as she did and that through it all you may continue to keep your positive and fighting spirit. You have many who are walking this path with you. Keep on keepin' on. Love,
