• Finally Mateo’s BK viral infection started to trend in a downward direction. 
• • Mateo’s MD was comfortable to discharge Mateo from the hospital. 
  • Mateo was discharged from the hospital last week Tuesday. 
  • Mateo received an IV treatment for the BK virus this past Friday and is receiving one now also. 
• We are now focusing on getting physical therapy for Mateo so he can learn how to stand and walk. 
• • CHLA can only provide 2 physical therapy sessions in a month for Mateo. 
  • All other providers we’ve found are either too far or do not take our insurance. 
  • I have reached out directly to Mateo’s case manager requesting assistance finding various intensive (physical /occupational/speech/feeding) therapies for Mateo.  

We are thankful that:

• Mateo was discharged from the hospital. 
  
• Mateo’s BK virus numbers are trending downward.

• Finding therapy providers (physical/speech/occupational/feeding) preferably ones that can come to our home and that insurance can cover most of these expenses.
