I may have a photo somewhere, taken at one of Karen and Marty's gatherings. Just opened email for the first time today--now 4:22 pm. Will look as soon as I can. My computer won't scan and send attachments, so if I have anything, I'll email back or try phoning and then maybe someone can walk across the street to get them because it is not safe for me to be out.

I also will not be coming to Chicago for the funeral services. I will always remember Mary for the vibrant, intelligent person she was as well as the fun loving college roommate with the photographic memory that absorbed all the info to which she was exposed. I will treasure that we were both at our 50th Marquette reunion and scheduled extra days with classmates just to visit. I am sorry that I will not have the opportunity to meet all of the Weck Warriorers and her daughters who unselfishly provided such good care. Nothing more I can say. Rosie White

I am praying for the warriors, Mary and her family. She will be sorely missed. I video taped her walking and talking with my daughter just before she became ill. I sent the video and some pictures to the Weck Mary Gmail account. It was so good to hear her voice telling fiona what to do. I found another recording of her walking with fiona but the video did not take. You can hear Mary saying to Fi “Are you in pain? Where does it hurt?”. Mary was such a giver and is a giver because she left my life and my family in a better place for knowing her.

Hi Frankie --
I just wanted to let you know that, despite my hopes, I am not able to travel to Mary's Celebration of Life this weekend. We are in California and I was going to try to fly out with Julie Perfect (both Julie and Mary were my mentors in CA and at Children's), but with 2 kids in college, we just couldn't swing the last minute flight out to Chicago. Please know that I am so grateful of you and the rest of the Weck Warriors keeping us all in touch and of your wonderful care of Mary! I know that there will be many past colleagues and friends present, and I wanted you all to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Mary was one of a kind. There will never be another like her in selflessness, work ethic, friendship, humor and optimism. I know that this will be an amazing celebration of an even more amazing woman! So cheers from here, to Mary, to you all, and to a life well lived!
