Greetings.
Last week Wednesday, mom finally was put into a skilled nursing facility after literal months. This was a double-edged sword, as the facility is in Wausau. It's a struggle for everyone, especially since it is not living up to what we were told it would be. She has dialysis three days a week as well. We are trying to get her closer, though the chances of that are slim or at least a long way off.
Josh has medical POA and his days have been filled with phone calls and paperwork, trying to make sure everything is set up and taken care of. She has never been away from us or dad this long and it is really hard on her. She is not able to talk on the phone very well, most days can't because she is very ill.
That being said, sending cards, etc really could help her. She does have Facebook messenger, however, it is really hard for her to navigate as she only has a tablet. It would mean a lot to her, and to us as well.
