So perfectly and beautifully said, as always. And so like Mary to write her own elegy to communicate her thoughts and take the pressure off her loved ones. She gathered so many people in her community with her warmth and energy- if being remembered is living on, she will be around for a very long time. Thank you for sharing the elegy and the photo. If we can help Matt and her boys with meals in the coming weeks or months, please let us know.
This is so Mary and so beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing this and obviously her/our community loved her and loves the legacy she has shared with us and most importantly her family.
So grateful to Mary for expressing this, her sister for sharing it, and Jenn for posting it.
No doubt you will be remembered, my friend!!! In fact, this whole journey of yours brought many of us who weren’t in your day to day, back into the fold. I remember finding out about your diagnosis and thinking, noooo, I want more Mary, as life had gotten in the way of seeing you more often. But you always loomed large, and inspired since back in my 20’s. So none of that changes and in fact you will be ‘channeled’ even more for your life well lived and the elements you brought to all who were graced by your presence. We will make sure to raised many toasts!
And your boys…they will be their own people, but all those qualities they witnessed will inform them forever. ❤️❤️❤️
Final thoughts, so beautifully expressed. We will always love and remember you Mary, the truly unique, creative, funny, thoughtful soul that will always live in our hearts. With eternal affection--Aunt Mary Alice, Brian, Ella and Nora
