Journal entry by Andrea Hermoyian

Radiation done forever (!!!) and chemotherapy done for now! Mom rocked it! She’s amazing!

Huge shoutout to SO many helpful and supportive friends and family, including mom’s lifelong friend who was by her side every minute of the last 10 days. (We love you, Connie!) Other dear friends also came to stay and love on our mama during this last couple weeks. Aunt Patsy and Uncle Bob, we are crowning you both as “best medical support team” — TAWANDA! Done with at least some of THAT for now! Mom will miss the warm robes at radiation 😉

Rachel came to mom’s rescue when it was time to shave her head (professional quality care- pics included!)  Luke came to the rescue when the plumbing backed up (never a dull moment), and I could go on and on with the things that were fixed, the people that were fed, and the support that has been provided. So many helpers and we couldn’t manage without each and every one of you as we navigate our way through 🌈❤️

But guess what? More news! Mom left on a plane with her travel buddy, Jenny, today and just touched down in Charleston! She will stay  with Amy for a couple weeks and then be here in Atlanta with my crew for a couple weeks too!  🙌 Life is for the LIVING! Mom is living!!

It’s been a roller coaster for sure, and we know the ride isn’t over— but it’s going to be the ride of her lifetime and we will all be a part of it, all the way. We refuse to stop having fun and making memories, and that’s what the next chapter is all about. Living.

I’ve never known another human to have as many BESTIES as our mom. It’s a beautiful thing to witness the love that surrounds her always. So if you didn’t get a personal shoutout, please know our hearts are full of gratitude!

Much love to all and know mama is in great hands here in the South until her return to Michigan on July 17th. Thanks for your ongoing love and support.
