Mary Lee’s Story

Site created on June 27, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. At this time, Mary Lee is living as best she can at age 91. Her mobility and eyesight is nearly gone, and her short term memory is getting worse, but she still has a good sense of humor, and knows what's going on in her life. She's well cared for in an assisted living facility in the Rockridge area of Oakland, and her three kids are around as much as they can.

If her condition changes, we'll post information. You can 'subscribe to this site and you will receive an email when we give updates (you can also subscribe so you get any comment people add, which most of you won't want to do, so if you start getting too many emails, check your subscription settings).

Mary Lee still has her old phone number, but it's harder for her to answer these days. She has a Google Home device that allows her to make phone calls by simply saying "Hey Google, call [insert your name here]. This has been wonderful, but it is often hard to hear her, or for her to hear you--so if she calls you, please be patient. If you're a good friend and you want to make sure she has your number, please email Lee at trampleasure dot net and he'll add you to her phone book.

Journal entry by Lee Trampleasure

Hi all,

Well, COVID-19 has certainly thrown all of us a curve. We're still planning on holding a memorial service in Berkeley, but are waiting until we can hold an in-person ceremony.

Much love to all, and hope all are healthy.

Lee
