Mary’s Story

Site created on November 3, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge page. We are using it to keep family and friends updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
We rushed Mary to the Hibbing Emergency Room around 4:00 PM on Sunday, Nov 1st. Doctors ran every test they could think of to figure out what was wrong with Mary. They did a scan of her brain and found a bleed. We flew out of Hibbing on Life Link III around 7:00 PM and arrived at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis around 8:00 PM. Once we arrived in Minneapolis Mary was taken into surgery to have a drain put in her skull to help relieve the pressure.

Journal entry by Family of Mary Koski

Mary is 14 years old today (2/11/21).
She is so happy to be spending it at home!!! And far far away from the hospital. Mary will be starting out patient Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech this coming week. She still has a lot of work ahead of her, to get back to "being herself", it makes it a little bit easier with her family, friends, and furry family close by.

Thank you all again for your thoughts, support, prayers, and good vibes.
