Dear Friends -

Our mother had the tumor in her left temporal brain removed today.  She tolerated surgery very well and is now in recovery.  We expect she will stay in Chicago until Thursday or Friday.  Any additional treatment will depend on her final pathology report - but we are hopeful it may be a low grade cancer.

Her primary concern at this time is our family feeling more sadness or stress because of her current situation.

She also does not like attention and was overwhelmed by the response on social media on her health concerns.  So, if you see her, ask about her grandkids or update her on your family or fun you might be having.  She wants to use Facebook to see pictures of her good friends. :)

As a family, we are amazed by her resilience.  And, so grateful for the love and support from our friends.
