Journal entry by Michelle Weber —
So much has happened since I last posted. Today marks a major milestone in my mom’s recovery. Today she has fully moved into her house. Miura and I are staying with her tonight and then tomorrow she is going to try it on her own.
The occupational therapist did a standardized assessment over the last two weeks and recommended that she live on her own with a daily wellness check, which can be a phone call. We have a life alert system in place and will also physically check on her every few qdays. Our back up plan is to transition her back to our house if necessary.
In home speech therapy will continue for the next three weeks and then after that it’s up to mom to continue her recovery, which has been a miracle to witness.
While this year has been a tough one, we have a lot to be grateful for. Thank you all for your kindness, love, prayers, and support.
