Journal entry by Mary S.A. —
After being diagnosed in July, the words “I have cancer” just don’t seem right coming out of my mouth. It’s just weird. I even look the part! Here is a little something I wrote about having cancer.
I have cancer.
I have a port (his name is Mort).
I go to chemo.
I get sick sometimes.
I fall apart.
I get back up.
I lost my hair.
I get exhausted (a lot).
I will never have babies.
I am a fighter.
God is within me, so I will NOT fail.
I will never give up.
I have cancer, it does not have me.
