I am Mary and this is my story. The good, the bad, and the ugly. The story of how I found out that I had cancer and the journey along the way.

Journal entry by Mary S.A.

After being diagnosed in July, the words “I have cancer” just don’t seem right coming out of my mouth. It’s just weird. I even look the part! Here is a little something I wrote about having cancer.

I have cancer.
I have a port (his name is Mort).
I go to chemo.
I get sick sometimes.
I fall apart.
I get back up.
I lost my hair.
I get exhausted (a lot).
I will never have babies.
I am a fighter.
God is within me, so I will NOT fail.
I will never give up.
I have cancer, it does not have me.
