Journal entry by Jackie Brooks

Marvin was diagnosed with Diabetes after losing part of his eye sight. He continues to battle the bleeding in his eyes. He is considered to be legally blind and also has been diagnosed with a neurological auto immune disease that affects his balance and stability. He has always been a dedicated employee and hard worker and tried to continue to work as much as possible until he was asked by his supervisor to quit and accept disability. He has applied for disability but was told it takes at least 6 months to receive any kind of approval or aid. His wife is currently working as a bus monitor 4 hours a day and it is not enough to make ends meet. When getting let go from his job, he also lost his health insurance and has not been able to receive Medicaid. He has built a life from serving others as a school custodian at Riverbend, Mount Vernon and Lumpkin county.  Please Pray for him and give if you feel like you can.
