Out of surgery for now, went well!  As she feared, had to use external hardware for the left side, will require 2nd surgery in 1-2 weeks to plate the graft when swelling is down more, and a 3rd several weeks later to remove the external device. The right had to have an extra temporary plate to hold the bones in place and will require a second surgery in about 4 weeks to remove it so he can rotate at the wrist (“thumbs-up, thumbs-down!). Tolerated it all well!
