Thinking of you and your family during this time! You have certainly demonstrated what it family means during all of this —— love, support, encouragement, determination! Prayers to all of you as you continue to maneuver what lies ahead!
Thank you Marshall. Rather than just talking about courage, you demonstrated it. This disease gave you a goal which you shared with other young people - you chose to not run away and sulk, but confront it with your decision to be an oncologist. People got to know you through your strengths not by the disease that was attacking you. That strong strong body displayed a brilliant mind and an outstanding resolve that was an inspiration to all. There must be some good, some blessing passed on by you to your doctors and young people whom you may have sparked an interest, a calling, that originated in this young man’s open, honest voice.
There are not enough strong hugs for you all. The entire neighborhood is rooting for Marshall. If you need to drop and run somewhere, please let any of us know what you need. Day or night.
Trish, although we have never officially met, I have followed your posts throughout this entire journey. You have been strong and taken action for Marshalll as any caring and loving parent would do. No questions were left unanswered and you have been his #1 advocate. I truly admire your will and wish you, Jim, and Marshall, and Brynn the blessings of time and memories as you traverse the upcoming months. Prayers are cast daily. Yes, we all should heed your message of showing and sharing our love to others always. God bless you and the Patten family.
Can you send me your email address. I have a personal message to send you guys.
