Dearest Scott and Bella, I had learned of sweet Marlene's passing from Kate. My heart ached and rejoiced at the same time. I am so blessed to have walked several years of this life's journey with my funny and soulful friend. Thank you for sharing her spoken poem. With tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat knowing there are no more opportunities to be in her physical presence and fully aware of her ability now, to be omnipresent. Exercising a new way to access her light and wisdom.
Thank you for your loving and patient vigil. You are blessed beyond measure to be her daughter and husband.
All my love to you in the weeks and months that will bring waves of grief and profound love. Beth

Bella and Scott, sending you love. Feel so blessed to have met Marlene a few years ago and then met her again on Facebook. For the past weeks have had her name on a blank page, just there when i practice or when i see the page thinking of her, her luminosity, her heart. Yesterday a poem filled the page, so i knew. Thank you for including me in your beautiful circle. When i saw there is a Shiva, the tears flowed.

So pleased the shiva is happening. If I were there, I'd tell stories of MZ talking with trees in British Columbia and her ability to make a kick ass chocolate pudding from avocados. Love you, Bella and Scott.

Dear Bella, thinking of your bravery and steadfastness. I do appreciate this. Scott, I don’t know you but how wonderful you and Marlene had some years. And for whatever reason; the world is slightly more empty for me. All the rest that I can imagine I wish for you

Dear Scott and Bella, I did not have the privilege or good fortune to meet Marlene, but through her poetry and artistic talents, she blessed all who did.
May you find comfort and peace in the beautiful memories you have.
