Journal entry by Julie Sullivan —
Mom has been doing chemo and radiation for 2 weeks. Overall she feels good and has no adverse effects besides fatigue. She gets around with a walker and needs minimal help around the house. She can cook scrambled eggs. Her biggest challenges have been frustration with her speech, extreme swelling in her feet, and being tired. Her speech has gotten easier this week! She has occasional hard days where this journey challenges her emotionally but most days she amazes us with her strength and sense if humor. She stays busy with daily trips to radiologist, occasional doctor visits, and in home therapies.
