Hey Marla. This is Lisa (Ruisch) Kuiper. I'm reading this journal for the first time. I have so many good memories of our days playing ball at Dordt! I especially remember your humor and athleticism.
I am sad to hear of your cancer journey. I'm praying for you and for all those who love you dearly.
Good to hear that the IV administration is helping with the nausea and pain. I absolutely would give anything to have her not have to be going through this. Marla has made the World a better place with her kindness, generosity of her time, her forever uplifting & team attitude, unending support to her family & friends, and so much more. It is so difficult to not be able to give back and help or change this terrible situation in her time of need. We continue to pray for her comfort and peace. Sending love and virtual hugs to Marla especially and also to her family and others that care deeply for her.
Marla, it is wonderful to see how many people love and admire you. You are definitely blessed. Thank you so much for sharing yourself and your blessings with the world. It seemed you never questioned for a moment when I asked for help asap to move my young horse from a dangerous situation. You don't know how much that meant to me or how much it meant to me that at every horse event, you were so graceful to make sure I felt included. You are a gigantic bright light in this sometimes not so great world. I feel lucky to have known you! Hugs for you and all your family.
