Mark’s Story

Site created on March 9, 2019

On Wednesday, March 6, Mark was diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive form of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

He was moved into hospice care in Duluth, where he remained until the Lord called him home on the evening of March 16th.

You can leave messages, memories, and words of encouragement here for Mark and Nancy and their family - click the “well-wishes” link in the top bar.   If you have pictures to share, you can email them to okontoe@boreal. .org

Currently, gifts to help offset the costs of end-of-life expenses can be gifted here under the “Ways to Help” tab - scroll down past the “go fund me” to the support links “I want to help the Pattens”, or to the Mark Patten benefit at the North Shore Federal Credit Union.

We are all so grateful for the amazing grace, strength and peace of our Heavenly Father.  Thank you so very much for your continued prayers.
