I have been working with the VA and county to get My Father transitional care and finally got it approved but he has refused transitional care and has given the VA no choice but to discharge him they understand he can’t be on his own but from a hospital perspective he no longer needs a hospital and I agree but he can’t be on his own. I have informed him that unless he reconsiders and takes the help he need with transitional care no one will be picking him up! So please if he calls either do not answer or inform him that he needs help. He is still saying he is going to drink and is not willing to get help so please help me and not let him fall back into the rut he was in we have worked so hard to get him here and it would be a shame for it to be for nothing. I understand I might come off brash but this has been a on going thing my entire life and if he won’t change he will die next time.
