When the Devine MS M was the president of Wenatchee E. A. I remember several things that stood out. She would question me and always look me dead in the eye and I knew I couldn't BS her. Also, she never made the same mistake twice. I felt comfortable telling the Council to not be afraid to hire a candidate from within; i.e., Marilyn. At staff meetings she would be quiet and work on needle point with her head down. I suggested that it looked like she was uninvolved in the discussions. I knew that wasn't true because I could see her mind working. She put the needle point down and got verbally involved. I never regretted my recommendation to the Council. Oh yeah, She really loved you kids.

What a sad sad day for Wenatchee. Marilyn will always be remembered as one of the great music teachers with a heart for all her kids. She will truly be missed. My heart breaks for her wonderful family. What a lady!!

Ashley, thank you for continuing to share with us. I’m so very sorry for this loss your family has been going through. I remember Marilyn’s pain when your grandfather died. I’m sure Jesus gave her a welcome hug and your grandpa was next with a hug. Bless you all!

Dear sweet Ashley…what a Blessing you were to your Auntie! She carried a very heavy cross, in her final months on this earth… and you were by her side helping her navigate the medical community and seeking answers to what was making her life so different & difficult. Praise God she is free from the pain & suffering on earth…the days ahead will be sad & the void HUGE without her, but ohhhh the sweet memories you have will bring comfort to your family, I pray. God Bless you for your love and care of sweet Auntie Marilyn❤️😘
