Meal train soon to follow!

Around 730am on 3/1, Marianne was at the Baltimore County Dump and pushing an old mattress out of the bed of a pick up truck when she lost her footing and fell over the retaining wall about 12-15ft. She was transported to Sinai and later transferred to Shock Trauma around 330am on 3/2.

She has extensive injuries with fractured right tibia, fractured left ulna and radius, fractured ribs and sternum, fractured T7 vertebrae, fractured C6/C7 in her spinal cord and, the big whammy that she doesn’t let me forget, her left big toe. She also has a very small subdural hematoma those vessels are “just bruised” as of now and have not ruptured into a small brain bleed but they are monitoring that closely.

As of now they are on the TRU (Trauma Resuscitation Unit- basic intake unit for all incoming traumas) floor of shock trauma waiting to see the Neuro team and be transferred to an inpatient room. On the TRU floor, Marianne is only allowed 1 visitor for every 12 hours. Keirsten and Conor met her at Sinai with Dillon, and Mickey trickling back and forth. Once they are sent to inpatient, we will all be able to rotate through whenever (2 at a time).

One of the kids will be posting updates as they are available. As much as Keirsten, Conor, Dillon, Bret, Mickey and Andy are feeling the love, they are overwhelmed trying to keep everyone updated in a timely manner. Please also keep Andy, the kids and his family in your prayers as his older brother Roger passed away last week.

At the family’s request, please refrain from sending flowers at this time. Once Marianne gets home, we will likely get a Meal Train started and some additional support.

We apologize that some may find out by reading this journal. It’s been hard to remember everyone that needs to be contacted.

Thank you all!!

Keirsten, Conor, Dillon, Stringbean, Mickey, & Andy
