Roger and family, I just came from Marian’s memorial service, as I found out a couple days ago that she passed away. I wanted to pay my respects, as Marian’s presence to me was a gift. As Roger knows, I worked with Marian during her last year as a counselor at Park Center HS. What a treat it was to be in the presence of her infectious laugh. She was a person who loved to have fun, and we definitely had some of that, all while dealing with some serious matters while serving the students of PC. Later after Marian retired, she served a 3-4 week leave for me while I traveled with my wife to Mississippi to adopt our first child. I remember Marian being so happy for me.
She was a treasure and I feel blessed that God shared her with me for a short time. May God comfort the entire Michael family and all those who grieve the loss of this wonderful woman.
