Journal entry by Margaret Smith —
Well, it's been 6 weeks since I last posted anything here. It's not because I haven't been feeling well, it's because I've been so busy cooking, purging closets & drawers, sewing and the occasional lunch with many friends. It feels good to not be that slug that needs a nap every day. The thing that is keeping me from being absolutely normal is that I still easily run out of breath with minimal exertion and my feet and ankles swell, causing my neuropathy to become almost intolerable. This is the result of all the chemo I've had over the past 3 years. All in all, compared to a month ago, I'm feeling great! So, I think it is time to shut down this CaringBridge page. My next PET scan will be mid-September and we get the results on the 20th (praying that the remission holds). Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts--I felt every one of them--they gave me the courage I needed!
