Journal entry by Kayla Stout

Marcus and I went to his consultation apt at the U of M on Wednesday. He was not given very good news. The bone marrow transplant might not be an option bc of the chronic damage to his kidneys that hasn’t happened over the last 22 years as a type 1 diabetic. His transplant doctor is going to push to allow him to get the transplant, but even if he receives it there are dangerous and deadly side effects. He’s not sure he will choose to do the transplant if offered. Marcus is in need of prayers, support & a lot of love. We are all challenged in processing our emotions and the potential outcomes. The next move for him is to get in contact with the Mayo Clinic and get another professional opinion on the matter. If you love Marcus, please tell him. We are blessed to be alive and any day that can change for anyone. Please support him💜
