Hi everyone!
I was getting some requests to start a site on here, so i will try my best to keep it updated. Marci Nikole was born on January 14 at 1:36pm at a little over 37 weeks, weighing 4lb 7oz. At the Heart of Lancaster. She had trouble breathing at first, so she was rushed to the NICU there. We were told later that afternoon that  she wud be transferred to hershey as when they tried to stick a tube down to her stomach it just wanted to come back up  so something was disconnected there. We were able to go in to c her around 6pm and stayed with her until they transported her. We got back to r room around 8pm. We stayed for the night and i was discharged the next morning around 11. We headed home first to shower and grab a few things before heading to hershey. We got there around 1pm and got to c her and meet with the doctors. Her doctor had called us to tell us they suspect she had trisomy 18 so they wanted to discuss tht w us. We were told even w her esophagus repaired she would probably only live a few weeks. Very few live past a few months and less than 10% past 2yrs. It was hard news to hear, but we were thankful for the kind nurses and doctors. Her doctor had detected a slight heart murmer so had gotten an ultrasound of her heart done, to put it plainly. The results from that showed she had 2 defects..an asd and a vsd. We were told they wud still b able to perform the surgery to fix her esophagus shud we choose to do tht. It was a long day, but we were overwhelmed by the prayers and support! We also got to hold Marci for the first time today!🙂
