Journal entry by Marcia Donovan —
Hello! I'm not really sure why it's taken me nearly two weeks to share the amazing news with you... NO new mets, NO spread, NO cancer activity! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it feels to finally get some good news! After only three treatments of Enhurtu, my cancer cells have a "complete metabolic response". The cancer cells are still there, but they are sound asleep! My tumor markers continue to go down! So many positives! YAY! I'm going to try and post my scan from July 24th, and October 27th so you can see the difference. The difference is mind blowing! SO GOOD!
My white blood cell count was low, so I wasn't able to get my entire treatment on Halloween. In order to receive a full treatment, my WBC count has to be 1 or greater, and mine was .7. My next treatment is the 22nd, and I'm hopeful my WBC will be good to go.
Texas went well. I am a patient at MD Anderson, which means I'll have a much easier time getting an appointment if I need to go back.
Tomorrow starts my five day intensive therapy session...AKA Disneyland:). I am SO excited for this!
My amazing friends and family bought me a wig! Friends organized a fundraiser (without me knowing!) to cover the cost of a wig ($2,500). The event raised more than the cost of the wig, which left money for medical bills. The event was amazing and really meant the world to me! I am so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life!
I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving! Thank you for all of the love and support:)
