Dear Maggie,
I have prayed for your recovery often from GBS... it was with joy to read your words from your heart tonight... you are on a journey where you see the miracles of prayer from the hundreds of friends that love you dearly... I have been blessed with knowing you for a long time and will always pray for you and your sister Sara. My favorite verse for twenty years is Ephesians 3:20, and this verse keeps me motivated every day on my journey. Hope it gives you more hope and determination...”now to Him who is able to do abundantly more than we can ever ask or imagine according to the power of the Holy Spirit in your life....” You are never alone and you are loved more dearly than you can ever imagine by your heavenly Father. Will continue to pray for your strength and stamina to return one day... but until then, keep sleeping ten hours a day for your body loves and needs the rest.
Miss you friend!
In His grip, Whitney

Dear Guillian Barre Girl:
That's a super-hero name. I look forward to hearing your words. You can teach so much on how to help and encourage people facing drastic and dramatic life experiences.
Can't wait! You are annointed.
"He sent His Word and healed Maggie and delivered her from destruction." Psalm 107:20

That's our girl, but as many can attest, she's her own bright star first. I can imagine that all who have frequented this site can appreciate and agonize over the status of a loved one. M has displayed as much courage as determination fighting her way through God's second greatest challenge for her. The loss of her father was a tragedy in which she had no part, and the early GBS stages must have felt the same. But as is the case with the brave, you reassess and cast aside self-doubt or blame, and get back to the monumental, everyday tasks. If the good Lord smiles upon you and you have within your power some semblance of a full return, then it becomes a matter of character. And that dear friends, is where I hit the jackpot with these two young women (a shout-out to Sara) and their Mother. So, let's all take a breath, and appreciate the many tiny blessings in our brief stay, hug more than you think you (or they-) think you should, and continue praying for Maggie (and her former beleaguered Carolinas). Thanks to each and every heart that has so freely shared their care and support!

Maggie, you are such an inspiration! So happy for you (and others) that you are sharing your journey. Thoughts & prayers are sent your way every day! Hey, did you know Travis Frederick (Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman) was also diagnosed with GBS recently? Since he is not too far from you I think ya'll should get together :)
