Hi Joyce! I just learned today about what Maggie is going through. I prayed for her and for all of you guys! I will let our church staff and prayer team know as well. Please lmk if there is anything else I can do for you guys.
Our dear Wakefields, DeLisa Quinn let us know yesterday to start praying for sweet Maggie and you all. I woke this morning with Psalm 23 on my mind, and began praying for Maggie with His words, His promises. I can't do it justice, but last month, our pastors at The Chapel taught us through this short, yet powerful Psalm (check out the archives). The very first verse reminds us He goes before us, lacking nothing. I understand through your description of Maggie's condition, Joyce, that she is in much need. Praying for her medical staff to be wise and quick and safe as they treat your precious child. Love, the Gilberts - Lisa, Gary, Claire & Dylan
Psalm 23
A psalm of David
1
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Maggie is in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine how frightening this has been for Maggie and am so thankful for her progress. I will continue to pray for her and a complete recovery. Praying for all of you as walk through this with Maggie.
Praying for you, sweet Maggie! Trusting the Lord for this unexpected journey and praying His promises for "treasures in the darkness" as He walks alongside you through your recovery. Praying for you, Joyce and Sarah, as you watch over your dear girl. So thankful for the baby steps that show the treatments are working. Praying for the doctors, nurses and all who are caring for you as the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you for the privilege of praying for you all.
Much love...
