Please know you are still in my thoughts and prayers. God must’ve really put you on my heart about the second anniversary time. Because I was wondering and thinking and praying. I’m really glad to hear so many positive physical things. Go Maddy! I’m praying for so much more now. For miracles in personality and joy and peace and new friendships for Maddy. For God to bring people and things back to her. And for you as you mourn and support.

Christi, You were blessed with a nack of writing from your heart, and I love the way you put things. Maddy has been through so much in order to heal. That is tough enough on an adult, but to have that happened while in high school and miss out on some nice things, it’s really tough. I’m sorry some of her friends didn’t understand when she wasn’t herself. Unless they go through something like that they will never understand fully. And yes, the pandemic sure didn’t help to foster relationships or keep them! But, praise God she graduated WITH HER CLASS! That is unbelievable!
My prayer for all of you, especially Maddy:
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭ASV‬‬

I believe joy and happiness are two different things. Happiness can be taken from us when tragedies happen, but if you have the joy of knowing certain things that God has promised to you in the future, that joy cannot be robbed when faith abounds in His promises from His Word.
Praise God this world is not all we have. Believers in Christ have a promise of a brand new body that will never know pain or sin or death…but just perfection with God on the new Earth. Thank you for your post. I shall renew some prayers for Maddy and you all. ~ Hugs, Ann

It is a tough road, for sure. And as amazing as her recovery has been, TBI effect each person differently. For some, it's personality. For others, it may be endless seizures. And for another, it may be memory. No two are the same You might want to check out summer retreats, or things of that nature, where all guests have TBI in common. And that would be the commonality while Maddy could see the individual differences. I can also envision Maddy helping others through their own TBI struggles. I believe it would help her develop empathy, patience, confidence.
Just a thought....
Love you, Lil Mama... 😘
