Mada’s Story

Site created on September 28, 2020

Mada has been a resident of CU her whole life and has worked as a server for 45 years. You've seen her at Taffies, IHOP, Aunt Sonyas, Urbana Garden, and plenty of other places that deal in breakfast food. She's currently in the hospital and the future is uncertain, but I know that with the prayers of her loved ones and the community at large she'll come out on the other side of this stronger, and more feisty than ever!

Journal entry by Niko Paceley

On the 9th, I went to Mamas rehab center and broke her out of that joint! The day prior, without her knowing it would happen so soon, I signed her lease with her new property manager. The 9th was a very busy day filled with packing everything into the truck, moving it over, and unloading with the help of a close friend of my Moms. She's currently getting settled into her new digs and has her cats with her to keep her company.
